Automated License Plate Recognition in Egyptian Environment: Lessons Learned

This paper presents the practical performance of automated license plat recognition for Egyptian license plates. It demonstrates the challenges in detecting and recognizing license plate based on the observation made over different cities. A set of real images is presented as part of the study.
