The purpose of this paper is to present in fully quantum terms the fundamentals of quantum Fourier optics in a completely coherent and comprehensive method with several key applications. This paper's physical and mathematical models for various elements of a typical spatial optical signal processing apparatus create a new paradigm and will be of utmost importance to advance many quantum optical science and engineering fields. The results in this paper will, significantly advance the state of the art of quantum Fourier optics.
