Offline Nepali Numeral Character Recognition using Character Specific Features

 An off-line Nepali numeral handwritten character recognition, based on the neural network, is described in this paper. Nepali numeral specific features are extracted from character images. Connection of feature vector to the hidden neurons and hidden neurons to the output neurons is chosen to give optimum result. Very few number of samples are used to train the neural network. Recognition accuracy of 81.14 per cent is obtained.
