Wind Power Plant Modeling based on Grid Codes Requirements using Real-Time Digital Simulator

In this paper, the Wind Power Plant (WPP) is modeled using the Real-Time Digital Simulator (RTDS).
There are various studies done by other scholars where grid codes are not taken into consideration. Also, some research model and simulate a single wind turbine generator and assume it a complete wind power plant. Their studies neglect minimum requires for integration of these power plants.
While adhering to the grid codes, a complete WPP is modeled in this paper, and at least two of the quantities voltage and frequency are studied for verification of these codes. The results obtained in this research show that this WPP can be further used by other scholars for their studies, especially for WPPs and power grid integration at transmission level.
