Valere Huypens is retired. He developed CNC software and hardware together with Gerard Duelen. In 1983, he was the only laureate in the field of Computer Science and Robotics, under the auspices of the Flemisch Community, he was awarded by nine Belgian banks and the price was handed out personally by King Boudewijn of Belgian.
