Dr. Xiaojie Wang is the founder & director of the Bio-inspired Robotics and Intelligent Material Laboratory at Institute of Advanced Manufacturing Technology （IAMT）, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He is an adjunct professor at University of Science and Technology of China, Hefei, China, and also serves as external supervisor in the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology, University of Technology Sydney, Australia. Prior to joining the CAS, he had been conducting research on intelligent materials and devices at University of Nevada, Reno for over 10 years.
Dr. Wang received his B.S. degree in Fluid Mechanics from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China in in 1989, M.S. degree in Solid Mechanics from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 1998, and Ph.D. degree in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Nevada, Reno in 2002. Dr. Wang is author/co-author of more than 150 scientific publications.
