Abstract

A dynamic logic gate without switching power using an inductor! A new dynamic logic gate that consumes almost no switching power is presented. The stored energy on the load capacitance is transferred to an inductor during logic evaluation and recovered back during precharge. Simulations indicate that such integrated logic gates are possible. They consume about three times less power compared to conventional CMOS or dynamic logic gates.
