Based on a vector network analyzer (VNA) testbed, penetration losses from skin and reflected power from muscle tissues is measurered in the broadband spectrum of 6 GHz to 100 GHz for the application of muscluar activites detection. The porcine skin samples used in the experiments are animal waste products bought. Hence, the authors do not raise any ethical concerns.
