Numerous dynamic evacuation guidance systems equipped with visual signs have been developed for efficient crowd evacuation. These systems should be designed in a dis?tributed manner because they are expected to function in harsh evacuation environments where not all components function as intended. We propose a distributed algorithm for dynamic evac?uation guidance that can reduce congestion and adapt evacuation routes according to changes in the evacuation environment. As?suming that all components of the system work, analysis reveals the properties of the algorithm, and simulation experiments are performed to demonstrate its effectiveness.
