Abstract

This research paper presents an improved electronic Blind stick which works with the help of three Ultrasonic sensors, one infrared sensor, a toggle switch, one vibrator motor, microcontroller, mp3 player Module and earphones. The ultrasonic sensors are used to detect obstacles in the right, left and front directions while the infrared sensor is used to detect stones and stair cases of buildings. With the help of toggle switch, a user (blind person) will be able to select either vibrations from the vibrator motor or audio output through earphones to inform the user ow distant the obstacle is.
